For Web Development Positions, Candidates MUST HAVE:

  • Comprehensive understanding of PHP, MySQL, CSS & HTML
  • Ability to create a website from the ground up
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Basic Understanding of Linux & Apache Environments
  • Working knowledge of Javascript & JQuery
  • Understanding of a Content Management System (CMS)
  • Ability to build Modules and/or Plugins
  • Understanding of how the average user interacts with a website and can create a system accordingly

For Business Development Positions, Candidates MUST HAVE:

  • Working knowledge of Facebook Ads ( a comprehensive understanding is preferred)

  • Comprehensive understanding of Facebook Insights

  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics

  • Basic knowledge of all niche ad-serving platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

  • Ability to develop a strategic plan (SWOT)

  • Creative planning capability

  • Analytical understanding of why content rises and falls

  • Working knowledge of the Facebook Algorithm

  • Ability to communicate with multiple clients, daily, via phone

  • Ability to demonstrate results to clients (ROI, etc)

  • Ability to work with a team or independently

  • Ability to multi-task, be a manager at times, and delegate responsibilities to other members of your team

  • Willingness to review and respond to emails during off-hours, weekends included

  • Ability to create a social media campaign from the ground, up (1. Build a strategy, 2. Develop creative content, and 3. Demonstrate ROI)

At Epic Web, we often describe the digital marketing department as "structured creativity" because there are tasks that must be accomplished every day around the same time of day. Within those tasks, however, there is often complete freedom to be as creative as you desire in order to move the client's project towards their goals. This position is not for everyone. It can be very stressful, but very rewarding.

For Content Development Positions, Candidates MUST HAVE:

  • A creative mindset and an aptitude for storytelling on ever-changing digital platforms

  • Comprehensive knowledge of proper grammar and spelling. Overall, a firm grasp of the written word is necessary

  • Working knowledge of proofreading and editing for yourself and others

  • Basic knowledge of all social platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.)

  • Creative mind and planning capabilities

  • Analytical understanding of why content rises and falls

  • Experience writing both long- and short-form content for the internet
  • Ability to communicate with multiple clients, daily, via phone
  • Ability to work with a team or independently
  • Ability to multi-task, be a manager at times, and delegate responsibilities to other members of your team
  • Willingness to review and respond to emails during off-hours, weekends included
  • Excellent time management and organization skills that allow you to work on multiple projects for multiple clients on any given day
  • Comprehensive understanding of all major search networks

  • Comprehensive understanding of search monitoring programs (Google MyBusiness, Google Analytics, Bing Places Dashboard, Google My Client Manager, etc.)

  • Comprehensive understanding of Google AdWords

  • Comprehensive understanding of Google Analytics

  • Working knowledge of Facebook Ads (a comprehensive understanding is preferred)

For Graphic Design Positions, Candidates MUST HAVE:

  • 1-2 years of experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

  • Comprehensive understanding of Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Suite

  • Demonstrated experience with responsive website design

  • Working knowledge of website design theory and structure

  • Demonstrated experience with UX

  • Ability to use, manage, and navigate a Content Management System (CMS)

  • Ability to collaborate but also work independently

  • The ability to multi-task is a must

  • Ability to work between multiple departments

  • Experience with HTML 5 desired

  • Experience with CSS a major plus

  • Understanding of major social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Linkedin) is important
