Challenges for Erie Blues and Jazz Festival

Fresh off a one-year hiatus and under the stewardship of a newly created nonprofit organization, Erie's most beloved summer festival was in need of a proper reboot — just months before the event's kickoff. Although the festival organizers did their best to piece together a promotional website, it lacked functionality and visual appeal. Because the festival operates exclusively on sponsorships, donations, and volunteer efforts, it was critical to make the site more accessible and attractive.

Solutions

Epic created a bold, eye-catching, and colorful site design to capture the diversity and vibrancy of the performers, artists, and community that are the soul of the Erie Blues and Jazz Fest. To help festival organizers manage and attractively present evolving performance schedules, Epic developed custom Artist and Lineup modules with embedded media capabilities. Meanwhile, unique pages and secure payment/sign-up forms were created to appeal to each of the stakeholder groups that make the "Jazzfest" happen.

Results

Despite a short leadup to the festival, the website successfully created another revenue stream to support the festival with a steady stream of donation form submissions. The festival itself was another rousing success, with inspiring performances and an excellent turnout.
